NS Everett, WA Housing and Relocation Information
Everett has the 6th largest population in Washington with 103,000 residents. It is part of the greater Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area, which is in the top 20 largest metro areas in the country, and is just 30 miles north of Seattle itself. Ommunity housing near the base is also available in Mukilteo, Marysville, Lake Stevens, Monroe, Snohomish, and Lynnwood, which range in size from 9,000 to 60,000 people. There are also a great many suburbs on the northern side of Seattle which are within a 30-40 minute commute of the naval station, including Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace, Bothell, and Woodinville. Of course, Seattle traffic comes into play in these areas which may lengthen the commute.
About the Installation
Naval Station Everett is home to two destroyers, three frigates, two nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and over 6,000 sailors. Naval Station Everett is one of the most modern facilities in the United States Navy and provides essential maintenance, quality of life services, and operational tenant and U.S. Navy support.
